The Corpus Christi Fire Department was established in 1871 as a Volunteer Fire Department called the Pioneer Hose Company #1.   In 1914 it became the Corpus Christi Fire Department.   The city has 16 Fire Stations  8 ACLS Medic Units, a Haz-Mat Response Team, a Technical Rescue Team,  three Ariel Truck companies, and two 75' Ladder companies.

The Corpus Christi Fire Department provides the city of Corpus Christi with the highest quality of service.   The CCFD is dedicated to insuring rapid responses to fire, accidents, medical emergencies, etc.
