The Corpus Christi Fire
Department was established in 1871 as a Volunteer Fire Department
called the Pioneer Hose Company #1. In 1914 it became the Corpus
Christi Fire Department. The city has 16
Fire Stations
8 ACLS Medic Units, a Haz-Mat Response Team, a
Technical Rescue Team, three Ariel Truck companies, and two 75'
Ladder companies.
